Welcome to Clay de Joie!
I first discovered polymer clay in early 2026 and instantly fell in love with how fun and flexible it is to work with. There’s just something so satisfying about the creative process!
By day, I’m an engineer, so my brain is always in “design mode.” When I discovered the world of 3D-printed clay cutters, I knew I’d found my happy place! It’s the perfect blend of high-tech precision and artistic flow. Now, I get to use my 3D printing and prototyping skills to build tools that make crafting handmade clay pieces faster, easier, and so much more fun.
I built this site to share the custom designs I’ve “CADded” (engineer-speak for designing 3D shapes) using Onshape and printed using a filament 3D printer (If you are curious about filament 3D printer or Onshape, check out my FAQ page !). My goal is to create simple tools that can be used by fellow clay lovers !
I’m starting with a collection of my personal favorites and some essential “must-have” shapes. But honestly? The possibilities are endless.
By the way, did you know that “Clé de Joie” is French for “Key to Joy”? That beautiful meaning is exactly how my brand name came to life! I wanted to share the happiness I find in designing tools for fellow clay crafters. I’m so excited to see the shapes we’ll create together with these cutters, let’s make something amazing!
